Kinheimer Rosenberg Riesling Kabinett, Merkelbach 2022
This German riesling Kabinett is mineral and exudes jasmine and wet stone aromas with a delicate palate. It comes from a tiny one-hectare estate that is a favourite amongst Mosel fanatics. Run until recently by two brothers (until they were in their late 70s) and now by the Selbach family. This wonderful estate produces traditional and rather special riesling from the the regions steep, slate slopes. Beautiful with spicy Thai dishes like pad kra pao (stir-fried minced meat with holy basil) or a green curry, cutting through the fat and creaminess while its touch of sweetness stops the wine being overpowered.
