London - Pol Roger at St Paul's Cathedral
Join us for a very special tutored tasting of Pol Roger in the Crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral where James Simpson MW, Managing Director of Pol Roger will talk us through seven Champagnes from Pol Roger’s range, culminating with the newly launched Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2019.
The Wine Society has a long-standing relationship with Pol Roger and we are delighted to convene in the Crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral for a special tutored tasting. After a 30-minute optional visit around this iconic space we will gather in the Nelson Chamber for a glass of Pol Roger Brut Réserve before heading through the Churchill Gates for a seated tutored tasting of six further Champagnes led by James Simpson MW, Managing Director of Pol Roger, including the very latest vintage of the famed Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill.
The Tastings & Events and Buying teams love to share their knowledge, expertise and the joy of wine with members and there is no better way than through tasting and talking about different wines. Across our variety of tutored events and masterclasses tailored to different levels of experience, there is bound to be an event that appeals to you.
Do you send physical tickets or is it all e-tickets?
We no longer send out physical tickets for our events. An email confirming registration will be sent to the member who has purchased the ticket(s) and this email can be used as confirmation upon arrival at the event.
Can I bring a non-member?
Yes. Tickets must be booked by a member, but you are welcome to bring non-member guests.
Do I need to know lots about wine to attend?
Absolutely not! Our events target a range of experience and knowledge levels, and we try to make this clear on our event pages. If you’re unsure if an event is for you, simply contact tastings@thewinesociety.com and we will try to help.
Do I get a discount on wines after events?
After our ‘in person’ events, we offer attendees a 10% discount on the wines we have shown, subject to availability. You will be provided with a private code after attending the event to redeem the discount
