Muscadet Cru Communal by Chéreau-Carré Mixed Case
Wines included
Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Château-Thébaud, L'Orée du Château la Tourmelière, Chéreau-Carré 2016
A full-bodied, tropical example of Muscadet with plenty of bottle age. Clean, waxy fruit with a touch of mineral freshness. After a cheeky second taste, buyer Sebastian Payne MW said: 'it's got better in the glass, which is a very good sign'. Unsurprisingly then, voted a Wine Champion for 2022.
Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine La Haie Fouassière, Le Clos du Château L'Oiselinière, Chéreau-Carré 2015
Château L'Oiselinière sits at a high point at the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers, which both divide and define this Loire region. From a warm vintage, with delicate aromas of lemon rind and white flowers, this maintains its fresh salinity and backbone of mineral acidity.
Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Monnières-Saint Fiacre, Les Terrasses de la Cantrie, Chéreau-Carré 2015
From an established vineyard in the village of Saint Fiacre this shows the richness of this warm vintage with creamy texture and gentle bouquet with a hint of exotic fruit and fresh fluidity on the palate.
