Online - The Rise of Pommard - with Jasper Morris MW and Toby Morrhall
We are delighted that one of the leading writers on Burgundy, Jasper Morris MW, author of ‘Inside Burgundy’, the book and the website of the same name, will join buyer Toby Morrhall to discuss the rise of Pommard. The wines of Pommard have never been better and are featured in our upcoming Burgundy Spotlight offer. Together, we will explore some of the factors that explain why Pommard is so exciting at present.
Jasper Morris MW, one of the world’s leading authorities on the wines of Burgundy has been a Master of Wine since 1985. He has had an illustrious career as a wine merchant and an award-winning author, his book ‘Inside Burgundy’ winning the André Simon Book Award twice - for the 2010 original and again for the second edition in 2021.
Toby Morrhall has been The Society’s buyer for Burgundy since 1992 and is much respected by growers and winemakers for his palate and his encyclopaedic knowledge of the region.
We are looking forward to what promises to be a fascinating discussion on ‘the rise of Pommard’ as we launch our Burgundy Spotlight that same week.
