Our Fathers Duo

Seeing this Australian red’s label revealed as a 2025 Wine Champion after such a commanding performance was a gladdening sight. The project was set up by winemaker Giles Cook MW, with profits donated to mental health charities. Under blind-tasting conditions, it was a surefire Champion, offering full-bodied, punchy generosity with hints of tapenade complementing its black fruit.

A full and generous but fresh blend of chardonnay and grenache blanc from South Australia. The nose shows notes of melon, juniper berries, grapefruit, heather and white pepper. The palate is crisp but with a fuller texture and herbaceous character. Notes of fresh mint, dill and fresh squeezed lemon compliments the continuing notes of melon and crunchy green apple. Our Fathers is a project set-up by highly respected winemaker Giles Cooke MW and all profits are donated to charity, with a focus on mental health charities in the UK and Australia. Following the enormous success of the 'There is a Light' red from Giles, he has produced this white especially for Society members.
