A delicious coastal red from Empordà in Catalonia, almost within stone skimming distance of the sea. This blend has many components, including cabernet, merlot, tempranillo, garnacha and monastrell and is soft and ready to drink, with ripe red and black fruit, a hint of savoury spice, and a fresh, slightly salty finish that makes it a great match for food. Honest, characterful and seriously drinkable and lovely with a paella or a Catalan version, fideuà, made with short strands of lightly toasted pasta instead of rice, with fish like monkfish and a rich tomato sauce.
