Petite Fleur Vin de France, Domaine d'Abrigeon 2024
Red Wine from France - Rhone
An exciting new estate that started out under their own label in 2021, with owner and winemaker Julien d'Abrigeon having previously worked for Jean-Louis Chave, later selling him their fruit for his JL Chave Selection 'Mon Coeur' wine. With seven hectares in production and renting a cellar from Cairanne grower Domaine Richaud, this husband and wife team is on the start of their journey and the start is very promising indeed. This is bright and juicy, with red- and black-berry fruits combined with hints of black olive and aniseed. The tannins are well handled and there is vibrant core that is a nod to both their cooler sites and the vintage. A blend of grenache and syrah, and 100% de-stemmed, with the syrah coming from a higher-altitude plot in Buisson.
