White Wine from Portugal - Dao
A charming and refreshing expression of the Dão, made from a traditional blend of encruzado, gouveio, malvasia fina and bical sourced across the region. The nose is bright and fruit-driven with notes of citrus zest, green apple, peach and a gentle hint of camomile adding lift. Unoaked and wonderfully pure, it’s crisp, juicy and carried by focussed acidity that brings real clarity. The palate isn’t complex but has impressive shape and length for its level, finishing clean and refreshing. An easy going, well made wine that’s perfect with fish, prawns, squid, roasted vegetables or simple chicken dishes.
