Sauvage Cabernet Cortis, Vin de France 2022

3.000000000 star rating 4 Reviews
A soft juicy and highly perfumed red made from the cabernet cortis grape which is naturally resistant to mildew but also copes well with dry conditions. Similar in style to a Beaujolais and developed in an experimental vineyard by the Courselle family of Château Thieuley as part of their drive for fewer sprayings in the vineyard.

Deep crimson. Pale rim. Powerful aroma of ripe red fruit – cranberries? Attractively soft tannins and just the right amount of acidity and a bone-dry finish. Really interesting wine for early drinking...
