This indigenous variety is planted at 600 metres altitude at Paphos, Cyprus, on complex crystal gypsum and limestone soils is fresh and vibrant. At 10.5% alcohol it is steely, with lime, citrus and hints of pink apples. Saline and mineral. Spourtiko is often interplanted to help pollinate varieties that are unable to. Theodoros Makarounas is winning awards for his wines, thanks to the care and attention in the vineyard and winery.
