Red Wine from New Zealand - Central Otago
From the highly regarded Glover family of New Zealand, this is a smart, cherry-laden and classy red wine from one of the country's very best fine wine regions. The nose is sweetly scented, with morello cherry, redcurrant and sandalwood notes, complimenting a delicate rose-petal note and subtle hint of crushed pink peppercorn. The palate is fresh, structural and with well integrated chalky tannins. There's a nice balance of prettiness and depth here, with wild strawberry and a long, lifted finish. Demonstrating the structural style of Central Otago while remaining lifted, poised and elegant - smart stuff!
