The Society's Exhibition Sauternes 2022
White Wine from France - Bordeaux
Fresh, floral Sauternes made at the Dubourdieus' small, well-managed Bordeaux estate, Château Cantegril. The wine has excellent balance with notes of caramelised apple and vanilla. Superb value, and good for the environment too – the estate is in the process of building a 130-tonne composting machine, which will make them self-sufficient in compost made from vine stalks, skin, seeds, pulp, green waste and horse manure.
