Villard Expresión Casablanca Syrah 2019
A lovely example of fresh, fine-flavoured syrah with floral aromas and red-fruit palate. 65% was matured in barrels for 12 months to round out the tannins while 35% was matured in tank to capture the bright fruit.

Thierry Villard
Thierry Villard has broad experience of the wine world. French by birth, he worked in Australia for Orlando, launching Jacobs Creek with great success, before returning to his wife’s native country, Chile.
The ripe and healthy grapes he harvests year in year out, in Chile's wonderfully warm and dry climate, make him the envy of his winemaking friends in his native France. Indeed, he was one of the first to recognise the potential of the Casablanca region, where he has vineyards and a winery. He makes a small range of lovely wines which are getting better year by year.
