Château Ordonnat, Graves 2022

A medium-bodied blend of 40% cabernet sauvignon and 60% merlot from a fine property in the commune of Langon. With pure fruit and ripe tannins this is a deliciously drinkable Graves at a very fair price.

France £9.50 per bottle
2024 - 2028

Isola della Fiamma, Nero d'Avola Sicilia, Cantine Rallo 2024

This full-bodied, blackberry-scented red seems soaked in the Sicilian sun, but having been grown at relative high altitude it has retained a lovely freshness on the finish. Youthful, bold and unoaked, this red has great character.

Italy £8.95 per bottle
2025 - 2026

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Vigna Corvino 2024

Rocco Pasetti makes the most attractive example we know of this Italian classic. Juicy and bright and bursting with ripe cherry and red plum fruit, with a graphite edge on the finish. A deliciously fulfilling example of this great grape. It's absolutely perfect for enjoying with pizza or pasta dishes of all kinds.

Italy £8.75 per bottle
2025 - 2027

Saumur Rouge ‘Les Plantagenêts’ Cabernet Franc 2024

A consistent Loire cabernet franc benchmark at its simplest and most delightful, supple and easy to drink with structure, spice and wonderful bright cherry and strawberry fruit. A great bistrot style, lunchtime wine which could also work slightly chilled.

France £9.95 per bottle
2025 - 2028

My wine by Eduard Gorodetsky Merlot, Eduard Gorodetsky 2024

This is a new project in Odesa, Ukraine by talented winemaker Eduard Gorodetsky. There is no winery yet – it's currently in progress – but it is proving understandably logistically challenging during a war. This merlot is a great example of a juicy, accessible red that is bursting with red plum, cherry and cedar spice. The tannins are present yet supple and this is an ideal red to serve with roast beef and tomato-based pasta dishes.

Ukraine £11.50 per bottle
2025 - 2026

Winzer Krems 'St Severin' Zweigelt 2024

Simple but delicious Austrian red produced from the native zweigelt grape, which is often at its most charming when made in a friendly and unoaked style like this. The nose is delicate with crushed red-fruit character, mostly of strawberries and cherries, with a little twist of pepper. The palate is lifted, light and bright, with a freshness and purity throughout. Ideal drunk after 20 minutes in the fridge and perfect with a picnic.

Austria £10.95 per bottle
