Hay Shed Hill Pitchfork Margaret River Cabernet-Merlot 2023
A deliciously accessible taste of Margaret River cabernet, one of Australia's most iconic wine styles. Cabernet thrives here and the addition of merlot to the blend provides a juicy core of red-fruit, bringing a certain succulence to the palate. This is a joyful expression of this premium wine region, with blackcurrant, plum, red berries and bay leaf notes, with a twist of pepper spice. The tannins are ripe and juicy and complemented by mouthwatering freshness.
Beaujolais Le Ronsay, Jean-Paul Brun 2024
A deliciously appetising, strawberry-scented Beaujolais made from younger gamay vines, typically ten to 13 years' old. This offers everything you want from a young Beaujolais - lightness and energy, with lots of bright red fruit on the palate and plenty of soft, easy-drinking charm.
Abadia da Cova Fudre, Ribeira Sacra 2024
This Mencía really captures the earthy vibe of Ribeira Sacra, with fresh mountain herbs and juicy raspberry notes. It has a cool, crisp feel, with a nice balance of freshness. A pure, vibrant taste of the Atlantic influence, it’s a great example of the region’s charm.
Château Campillot, Médoc 2019
From a property owned by Jean-Dominique Videau, winemaker at Branaire Ducru since 2002, comes this medium-bodied Médoc from the outstanding 2019 vintage that shows attractive perfume of redcurrants and plum with light cedar and pencil-shaving aromas starting to develop. The palate is medium-bodied but with depth of fruit and a well structured, savoury finish.
