I was blown away by how good Chapoutier’s red and white 2023 Hermitages were when I tasted them during my visit last autumn. When they offered these wines as an exclusive bottling for The Wine Society, I couldn’t hide my enthusiasm and jumped at the chance! We’ve also been able to secure them at an amazing price to offer you en primeur. These are two incredible-value fine wines from what is regarded as the star vineyard of northern Rhône.

Both wines are a blend of some of Chapoutier’s most highly regarded plots within the famed Hermitage hill. Hermitage wines can often take time to come around, but every time I taste these 2023s, I’m taken aback with how drinkable they are right now. They are a testament to the charming, fruit-forward style of the 2023 vintage.
We were able to get some samples to the UK to share with members who attended our Rhône growers' tastings earlier in the year, and I was thrilled that they got such a great reaction. These are breathtakingly delicious wines, and I hope you’ll enjoy them, too.
