I’m thrilled to offer you the chance to buy the 2023 vintage release of two exceptional wines from Domaine Huet, widely regarded as Vouvray’s greatest producer of white wine.
Both wines come from the renowned Le Mont vineyard, an eight-hectare site acquired by the legendary Gaston Huet in 1957, celebrated as one of the most distinguished terroirs in the appellation.

The Le Mont wines are, regardless of style, typically the last of Huet’s three cuvées to be harvested, resulting in wines that are slower to open up but immensely rewarding with time. On my visit to the winery last year, I was mesmerised by the tunnelling subterranean cellars made of out of tuffeau (chalk), where the wines are fermented in cold and humid conditions, using only indigenous yeasts which play into the individual and honest style of the wines.
Cooler years, such as 2023, lends to the production of their drier styles, and I think these two wines, Le Mont Sec and Le Mont Demi Sec, offer an exciting glimpse into the exceptional heights the oft-underrated chenin blanc grape can achieve.
