Since its founding in 1928, Domaine Huet has rightly been considered the most famous name in Vouvray and can count itself as one of France’s great domaines. Following a memorable visit earlier this year, I’m thrilled to be offering Huet’s 2024 Sec wines from their three legendary terroirs – Les Haut Lieux, Clos du Bourg and Le Mont.

Certified organic since 1993, Huet’s fastidious approach to both sustainability and quality mean that their volumes in 2024 are even smaller than most. The vintage was marked by excessive rainfall leading to high disease pressure and significantly reduced yields. However, from extensive tastings across the region since taking over at the start of the year, I truly believe that the 2024 whites showcase precisely what is great about the Loire: vital acidity, gorgeous perfumes and a delicate, understated power.
Few producers showcase this racy, direct style better than Huet and their 2024 Secs are stunning wines, built for the long term.
We’re delighted to be offering them as a First Release – the fairest way to distribute what are extremely small volumes – and we’re sure you’ll be delighted with the resulting wines.
