Côte-Rôtie La Landonne, Guigal 2022

Code: RH79981B1
Red
This 100% syrah is from the La Landonne vineyard, which is a steep, south facing slope that produces powerful wines. The average age of the vines is 50 years old and the soil is on limestone clay with a high iron content. The wine is aged for 40 months in new oak which gives a spice and structure to the wine. The 2022 vintage was sunny, warm and dry, but thankfully due to some August showers that saved the vintage and provided wines with real freshness and energy. This is full of brambles and mixed spice combined with an attractive wild flower perfume. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 13.5%

Côte-Rôtie La Mouline, Guigal 2022

Code: RH79961B1
Red
This wine is from the Côte Brune vineyard made up of mostly syrah with around 11% viognier to give the wine an aromatic lift. The wine is aged for 40 months in new oak which provides structure and spice. The yields are incredibly low and the average vine age is 100 years old and planted on a gneiss, silicone and limestone loess soil. Aromatically rich with a juicy and supple palate, there is a bramble and liquorice spice intensity with tapenade and black pepper. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 13.5%

Côte-Rôtie La Reynarde, Guigal 2022

Code: RH79971B1
Red

This is the exciting new addition to the LaLa collection from the Guigal estate. The wine originates from the Reynard stream located between the lieux-dits (plots) of Côte Brune and Côte Blonde. From mica schist, clay and iron rich soils of the Fongeant lieu-dit and from vines that were planted 10 years ago, this red is aged in new French oak for 40 months prior to bottling. The wine is structured rich and with a great intensity of graphite, black olive and black pepper notes. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 13.5%

£244.00 Case of 1 (£325.33/litre)

Côte-Rôtie La Turque, Guigal 2022

Code: RH79951B1
Red
Coming from a tiny, steep parcel in the Côte Blonde vineyard with southern sun exposure, the wine is powerful and fine. The wine is made up of roughly 7% viognier and the fruit is sourced from 40-year-old vines planted on silicone limestone with schist and iron rich soils. Spending 40 months in new French oak, this wine is full-bodied, ripe and intensely aromatic. Structured and with lots going on in the glass, this is a delicious northern Rhône red. Drink from 2027 to 2040. 13.5%
