First release: Invincible 2024/25

From Marc and Rita’s own vineyard in Casais do Douro, planted in the 1930s, this is a beautiful expression of the incredible 2024 Douro vintage. A cooler, more even growing season and long, steady ripening period resulted in a wine with particular freshness and definition, without losing the fuller-bodied nature of the wine. There is wonderful aromatic clarity, with blackcurrant and dark cherry joined by graphite, cedar, spice and a subtle smoky complexity. The palate is poised and energetic, marrying generous dark fruit with finely sculpted tannins and bright acidity. There is concentration here, but the defining character is its sense of precision and freshness, carrying the wine through to a long, savoury and beautifully composed finish. Another compelling example of just how sophisticated modern Douro reds can be. Drink 2027 to 2040. 13.5%

Only the second release of this top white wine, sourced from a remarkable 90-year-old vineyard in Castanheiro do Nort. A blend of local varieties códega, rabigato, gouveio and donzelinho branco, grown in granitic soils at 550m altitude, it blends a sense of plushness with fresh acidity and impressive structure. The 2025 vintage seems to have achieved an excellent combination of fullness and ripeness of fruit, with a freshness of acidity. The nose has delicious notes of almond, saffron, delicate nougat and a lovely succulent, fleshy peach character. The palate is broad, with rewarding mid-palate presence, mouth-watering spices and driving acidity which ensures a real sense of energy to balance the depth and intensity.
