The Society's Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc 2025

The food-friendly white wines of the Rhône are becoming increasingly popular. We work with the Perrin family to deliver a crisp and fresh white Grenache Blanc and clairette dominate, with viognier added to the mix, giving a wine with honeysuckle and florals, citrus and a grapefruit pith on the finish. Wonderful texture, flavoursome and a quaffable white that is versatile and great value.

Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc, Domaine Jaume 2025

A delicious white from the village of Vinsobres showing red apple, yellow plum with a touch of pear and fennel. There is grenache blanc and clairette with marsanne and roussanne in support. Produced from the Jaume family, this is an enjoyable wine to be served with or without food. Thanks to the generous support of the supplier we are delighted to offer this with a saving of £19 per 12-bottle case until 11.59pm on Monday 13th July.

Lirac Blanc La Fermade, Domaine Maby 2025

Lirac, across the river from Châteauneuf, shares a similar soil structure and climate and has great potential. Richard Maby has a wonderfully well-placed domaine which makes excellent wine in all colours. Full-flavoured, spicy and rich, yet vibrant and lively thanks to the picpoul grape, which is picked early and keeps its freshness. Drink with seafood, chicken and chargrilled halloumi salads.

France £15.50 per bottle
2026 - 2027

Costières de Nîmes, Elégance Blanc, Château Beaubois 2025

From a biodynamically and organically farmed, family estate in the Côstieres de Nimes, this roussanne and viognier blend has lots of texture and character. The mistral wind native to the Rhône combined with the proximity of the vines to the Mediterranean allow the grapes to maintain plenty of freshness. Floral, peach and hints of apricot combine with quince, spice and pithiness. Plenty of fennel notes and herbs that are a nod to the garrigue of the south.

France £13.50 per bottle
2026 - 2027

Le Petit Scarabée Vin de France White, Domaine des Escaravailles 2025

From a family run estate in Rasteau, off the beaten track and producing some seriously enjoyable wines, this bone-dry white is tangy, fresh and light on its feet. Made from rolle, colombard and chenin blanc, the grapes are sourced from a vineyard called 'Les Ramières' with sandy soils on the edge of the river. As a Vin de France they are not restricted by appellation laws on grape varieties and are experimenting with high-acid varieties like chenin blanc that provide vibrant freshness. Madeleine Ferran is now the winemaker, having taken over from her father in recent years, but who is still very much lending some guidance and a helping hand.

2026 - 2027

Viognier-Clairette IGP Mediterannee, Pierre Amadieu 2025

A blend of viognier and clairette, this white from Gigondas estate Pierre Amadieu is zippy, crisp and fresh. Expect plenty of florals, fresh apricots and peach. This wine sees no oak and is wonderfully fresh and easy drinking and pairs perfectly with white fish and salmon.
