Red Wine from South Africa - Coastal Region
An outstanding-value red from one of the key figures of twenty-first century South African wine, Adi Badenhorst. Majority (around 70%) cabernet sauvignon is blended with spicy syrah in this debut vintage of Adi's new Fontein wines, which are made entirely from Swartland-sourced fruit. In fact this first vintage comes entirely from the Badenhorst family farms, thanks to the generous yields in 2026. This is bright and fragrant with blueberry, blackcurrant and violet perfume, and lovely concentration on the palate; juicy, with ripe succulent tannins and a gorgeous peppery kick on the finish.
