Alfred Gratien Blanc de Noirs 2016

Champagne from France - Champagne
0 star rating 0 Reviews
Founded in 1864 in Épernay, Maison Alfred Gratien crafts distinctive Champagnes through generations of Jaeger family expertise, using barrel fermentation and avoiding malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness, terroir expression and purity of fruit. This is a rare release as chef de cave Nicolas Jaeger has only made this cuvée a handful of times, and seldom releases it. Made from 100% pinot noir exclusively from grand cru vineyards, the wine had seven years on the yeast lees creating a rich, plum and brioche-scented, gentle Champagne with great depth, length and style. With fewer than 2,000 bottles made this is exclusive to The Wine Society in celebration of 120 years of working so closely together.
