Anyday Italian Favourites Case
Wines included
Baccolo Appassimento Rosso Veneto 2024
A members favourite, this popular Veneto red's opulent style is achieved by partial natural air-drying of the grapes (a mix of merlot and corvina) to add richness. There's bags of black cherry and leather on the nose, with more spice developing on the palate and finish. This is a great wine to pair with rich stews, roast dinners or mid week lasagne.
Isola della Fiamma Grillo Sicilia, Cantine Rallo 2025
In 2025 yields were down in Sicily, adding to the intensity of this aromatic dry white wine. With notes of nectarine, pear and peach there is a lovely saline, refreshing citrus-pith note on the palate that really adds to the quality of this great-value any day white. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with a £17 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.
Piemonte Cortese, Araldica 2025
A lovely introduction to cortese, the grape behind Gavi, grown across Piedmont in north-west Italy. Made in a crisp, dry style without any oak, this is light and invigorating, with pear, apple and lemon flavours. A perfect 'fridge-door' white and one that is a delight to drink with pasta dressed with a Genovese pesto sauce or a seafood salad. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers we're delighted to be able to offer this wine with a £14 per dozen saving until 16th November 2026.
Vermentino Sicilia, Mandrarossa 2025
Our Wine Champions tasters summed it up perfectly as it swept to victory in our 2026 tastings: ‘Peachy, lemony, charming and easy-drinking. This would be lovely served chilled on a nice sunny day – preferably in Italy.’ Need we add anything more? Enjoy!
Sangiovese-Primitivo Cielo Via Mare, Puglia 2025
A bright and generous 2025, with ripe red cherry and strawberry lifted by a touch of Mediterranean breeze. Combining the freshness of Sangiovese with the supple richness of Primitivo, it offers a juicy, easy charm and a versatility at the table that makes it a reliable go-to, especially with pasta smothered in punchily spiced tomato or meaty sauces.
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Vigna Corvino 2025
Rocco Pasetti makes the most attractive example we know of this Italian classic. Juicy and bright and bursting with ripe cherry and red plum fruit, with a graphite edge on the finish. A deliciously fulfilling example of this great grape. It's absolutely perfect for enjoying with pizza or pasta dishes of all kinds.
