Au Fil de L’ILL, Vignoble du Rêveur 2024
From a young winemaking couple Mathieu Deiss (winemaker at Marcel Deiss) and Emmanuelle Milan, in the village of Bennwihr, this biodynamically run estate is producing finely tuned wines with real Alsace soul. From a blend of grapes (pinot blanc, muscat, pinot gris and riesling) that come from mainly limestone and alluvial rich soils, this dry white has lots of weight combined with a salinity and pithy finish. Red apple, fleshy peach, tangerine and jasmine aromas are supported by a creaminess on the palate. A perfect wine to pair with salads, white fish or simply enjoy on its own.
