Auxerrois, Baden, Klumpp 2022
Auxerrois is a rarity this side of the Rhine and even in Alsace is more usually blended with pinot blanc. This is a lovely easy going dry white, full flavoured, refreshing with hints of peach and plum. Auxerrois, a relative of chardonnay and pinot, is probably a native of Lorraine, which would make sense as it is grown there as well as in Luxembourg and Alsace.
