'The 2021 Chassagne-Montrachet La Cardeuse 1er Cru comes from a knoll of limestone soils in the south of the appellation that is surrounded by pinot noir. This is another that has an arresting mineralité on the nose delivered with utmost definition. The palate is wonderfully balanced, quite intense and rich, certainly spicy towards the finish with judicious stem ginger lingering in the mouth. Lovely bitter edge. Superb'. Neal Martin, vinous.com.
