Kadarka is seen as Hungary’s answer to pinot noir thanks mainly to its pale colour, moderate alcohol and flavours of cherry, redcurrant and oriental spices. This example, from Vida in Szekszárd, is a great example with supple tannins and juicy fruit that is lovely served lightly chilled.
