Harvested at night for maximum freshness this is a modern take on malbec, offering vibrant, juicy fruit character and soft tannins. Enjoy slightly chilled with charcuterie or pizza. This is a fine example of a modern user-friendly style Cahors from one of the region's top estates. Clos Triguedina is one of those estates that has spent years building a more resilient vineyard rather than looking for quick fixes. Sheep graze cover crops through the winter, helping return nutrients to the soil, while bees, hedgerows, wildlife corridors and thousands of hectares of surrounding forest create a landscape full of natural diversity. The team has even increased organic matter in its soils over time, resulting in healthier, deeper, better-aerated vineyard soils. That attention continues in the cellar. Grapes are harvested at night to reduce cooling needs, gravity is used wherever possible, and intervention is kept low so the vineyard can take centre stage. It’s a thoughtful, practical approach that shows how small improvements, sustained over many years, can add up to something quite special
