Chardonnay Savagnin Assemblage Vin de France, Domaine La Grapp' A 2022
Domaine La Grapp’A is an exciting and dynamic estate that was set up by a young couple who started the project from the 2021 vintage. Aurelie Parla and Julien Maublanc have only seven hectares and are based just outside of Arbois. Previously Julien’s family sold the grapes to the local co-operative, and although they worked organically for over 15 years, Julien’s philosophy is different. They are moving to biodynamics and are passionate about agroforestry, having livestock on the farm as well as developing oeno-tourism, with a yurt on site, and planting truffle trees. This savagnin and chardonnay blend is made from several plots and has produced a white with great texture and vibrancy. A touch of ginger, quince and blood orange combined with white blossom and pear.
