Red Wine from France - Rhone
This red is made up of mostly syrah with a small percentage of viognier in the wine to give an aromatic lift. Largely old vines, the wine is then aged in barrel, of which 30-40% new oak, which gives the wine a firm structure and spicy profile. 2017 was a challenging vintage as there were spring frosts followed by an intense and hot summer, yet this wine achieves great density and structure with a juicy and charming palate.
