Du Toitskloof Hanepoot Jerepigo, Western Cape 2021 50cl
One of the historic specialities of the Cape, virtually eternal fortified muscat made with raisined and botrytised (affected by noble rot) berries. This displays the beguiling heady perfume of the muscat d'Alexandrie grape variety, here with great purity of bright caramelized and citrus fruit and fresh finish. Versatile nectar! It retains 210 grams of residual sugar, and has the added appeal of keeping well in the fridge once open.
