Egly-Ouriet's flagship non-vintage Champagne comes from grand cru vineyards in Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay, with 70% pinot noir and 30% chardonnay. Barrel fermented, and aged before secondary ferment, the wine is on the yeast lees for more then four years before release. Often described as 'Burgundy with bubbles' this is a wine for those curious champagne lovers. With remarkable depth and precision, layers of baked apple, citrus peel, toasted hazelnut and brioche are lifted by chalky minerality and vibrant freshness. Rich and vinous yet impeccably balanced, this is a superb gastronomic Champagne that is drinking beautifully now.
