Farella Park Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2009
This intensely flavoured California cabernet could age for another decade, but would be great now with a serious beef rib. A wine of great vibrancy and drive, it still offers youthful cassis, blackberry and mocha aromas, but cinnamon and clove spice develop with air too, while hints of tobacco and leather accompany the rich back fruit on the full, structured and very long palate.
