Fine, crisp premier cru with linear shape, long and lean. Made from biodynamically farmed grapes. Domaine Brocard has 110 ha of organic and biodynamic vineyard. Chablis' climate is warming and the land is denuded with little vegetation, so Brocard are planting 30,000 trees by 2030 to combat erosion by wind, regulate the humidity of the soil, and increase the biodiversity by encouraging birds, bats, bees, insects and so on, while a cover crop is sown in order to protect the soil and make it naturally fertile.

Made from 80-year-old vines, this regularly combines richness and grip in equal measure.

Ideally positioned mid slope, Folatières is quintessential Puligny, combining a floral scent with a crisp freshness in the mouth. Refined and elegant, with a long finish.

From the Fuissé amphitheatre, Vignes Blanches` water-retaining and cool clay soils coped well with the dry year, and it lends this a certain structure to support the ripe and ample fruit.

Sitting high up and in an open situation, the vineyard curves round from south-east to south-west so intercepts more light. This has a riper note of white peaches and a richer, more ample palate.

Pale lemon with a light green tint. Quality apple and greengage fruit, good personality here, some weight behind, the oak adds its note of cream in the background. Good acidity, some persistence. Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy.
