Great-Value Reds Case
Wines included
The Wolftrap, Western Cape 2024
Produced by the renowned Boekenhoutskloof winery, this is a popular, super-reliable, rich and spicy blend of Swartland syrah, with mourvèdre and a splash of viognier for aromatics. A versatile and comforting South African red.
Côtes-du-Rhône Rive Droite Rive Gauche 2024
Save £17 on a 12-bottle case. A fruit-forward, juicy and quaffable red. The name was conjured up because this wine is sourced from both banks of the Rhône, with the grenache coming mainly from the left and the syrah from the village of Daumazan, near the Pont du Gard, on the right bank. A great value red that can be enjoyed with or without food. Perfect pairing with barbecued meats and pizza. Thanks to the generosity of the supplier we are able to offer this wine with a saving of £17 on a case of 12 until Friday 11th September.
Navajas Crianza, Rioja 2020
A smooth and expressive Rioja, unapologetically oaky, full of creamy vanilla with real depth of plummy, juicy fruit. It is consistently a favourite of members' year after year. Navajas get their hands on some of the finest fruit from Rioja`s best vineyards. They used to sell the fruit on to the big names, including CVNE, but now, wisely, have decided to keep it for themselves.
Bando de Corvos ‘Murder of Crows’ Tinto, Lisboa 2024
This wine is sourced from vineyards close to the city of Lisbon and is a blend of native Portuguese grapes, touriga nacional, castelao and trincadeira. They come together to create a generous, medium- to full-bodied wine full of Portuguese charm. Juicy aromas of damsons, plums, black pepper and a mellow earthiness on the nose lead to a generous, fruit-driven but mellow palate. Perfect with beef stews and dishes with earthy flavours, or just on its own. A charming, easy-going and inexpensive bottle which demonstrates authentic Portuguese charm. Bando de Corvos (Murder of Crows) takes inspiration from the story of the two crows which accompanied the first King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques, when he brought Saint Vincent's bones to Lisbon. Crows are now a symbol of Lisbon and appear on the city's coat of arms.
Duo du Midi, Pays d'Oc 2025
Brilliant, fruity and fresh-tasting red made from cabernet franc and malbec, both of which work well in the heat of the Languedoc. The balance is lovely and the fruit flavours are reminiscent of raspberry and plum. Great value.
Feudo Arancio Nero d'Avola, Sicilia 2024
Save £17 per dozen. The 2024 offers a bright, fruit-forward expression, with ripe strawberry and blackberry at its core and a soft, succulent texture. Medium-bodied and well balanced, it is as enjoyable on its own as at the table. The Nero d’Avola is grown on an estate committed to biodiversity, preserving native flora, including rare orchids, while restoring former quarry land with citrus groves alongside olives and prickly pear. Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers, we’re delighted to offer a saving of £17 per dozen until 21st September 2026.
