Half bottle of The Society's Sicilian Reserve Red 2021
Produced for us from nero d'Avola grapes grown in the Ragusa and Agrigento regions of Sicily. Here the Mediterranean climate, tempered by a cooling coastal breeze, produces full-bodied red wines. Partly aged in French-oak barrels, this juicy raspberry and cherry-scented wine has a rounded, spicy finish.
Half bottle of Chinon ‘Le Temps des Cerises’, Domaine de la Noblaie 2024
Delightful expression of Loire cabernet franc to serve on the cooler side, pure and light on nose and palate, with succulent red fruit and a smooth finish.
Half-bottle of Mâcon-Villages, Domaine Mallory et Benjamin Talmard 2024
2024 was a cooler year. This has an attractive melony flavoured palate with a fresh finish. The grapes are cool fermented in stainless-steel tanks and kept on their fine yeast lees for added complexity.
Half bottle of The Society's Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie 2024
Crisp and refreshing in the new vintage, with Muscadet's typical saline note that makes it such a good match for seafood and especially shellfish. This wine has been sourced for nearly 40 years from the impeccable family firm of Chéreau-Carré. Just before the river Loire spills into the Atlantic, it is joined by the Sèvre and Maine rivers. The vineyards around their confluence produce the best Muscadet, whose distinctive tangy flavour is enhanced by prolonged contact with the yeast lees produced during fermentation (sur Lie).
Half bottle of The Society's Rioja Crianza 2021
A smooth, rich and oaky Rioja, made in the traditional style from 100% tempranillo aged in American and French oak for over two years (meaning it could qualify as a reserva). The fruit comes from vineyards in Rioja's Alavesa region which is renowned for the quality of tempranillo.
