Introduction to Fine Wine Case

This is a fine-flavoured unoaked SaintVéran from a cool spot in Chasselas, which has succeeded in producing a fresh and beautifully balanced wine in this warm year. Taut and firm, it is unoaked to preserve its lovely minerality.

From the superlative 2010 vintage, this is a perfectly ready-for-drinking blend of 68% cabernet sauvignon and 32% merlot. With deep colour and an appealing cedar and leather bouquet, the wine has lovely balance, despite the heat of the vintage. Smooth, satisfying claret.

Succulent sangiovese from organically grown grapes in a splendid site at Castellina, looking south towards the beautiful Italian city of Siena. This Chianti Classico is perfumed with cherry and dried cranberries, with a medium body, and tart red fruit and balsamic spice balanced by the fine tannins.

Exceptionally full-bodied Crozes, very black and dense, vibrant with a wealth of vibrant black forest fruit. Made from young vines that responded well to the extraordinary conditions of the vintage, this northern Rhône red is good for early drinking.

A new find, this is our second vintage of this classy Spanish red. Made by Spanish Master of Wine Almudena Alberca, this is an outstanding Ribera del Duero that deserves plenty of attention for its uncommon purity and depth. This is not overworked, just delicious.

A beautifully precise expression of Bairrada's indigenous grapes, with flashes of lemon citrus lifting more delicate white flower perfume. Made by a young producer who was until recently employed by Portuguese star and member favourite Herdade de Esporão.
