Johannisberger Klaus Riesling Spätlese, Weingut Johannishof 2018
White Wine from Germany - Rheingau
Delicious scented bouquet and fresh racy elegance on the palate which surely reflects the exceptionally well-exposed sun-drenched slope below the castle, and Johannes Eser's skilled winemaking. This is lovely now but will age beautifully too.

Johannes and Sabine Eser have 20 hectares of vines centred in the Johannisberg. Vogelsang on sandy soil is between Schloss Johannisberg and Schloss Vollrads. Goldätzel on quartz is more minerally. The warmest site on quartz in front of Schloss Johannisberg is Klaus. They also own vines in Rudesheimer Berg Roseneck and Rottland and in the heavier soil of Winkeler Jesuitengarten.
