Restrained yet compelling alvarinho from Márcio Lopes capturing the essence of the prime Monção and Melgaço subregion of Vinho Verde with clarity and finesse. The nose is subtle at first, with lemon zest, apricot stone and a hint of crushed herbs but the palate delivers striking precision. There's a tension between mouthwatering acidity and a gentle, almost saline silkiness that keeps each sip vivid and elegant. Grown by sustainably minded growers working ancient vine systems, this wine speaks of thoughtful farming and a light touch in the cellar, with indigenous yeasts and minimal sulphur preserving its purity. What sets it apart is its fine structure: dry, textured and savoury rather than showy. Winemaker Márcio’s belief in the region’s world-class potential comes through clearly in a wine that’s as much about place and philosophy as it is about flavour. A complex white with real pedigree and a long, sappy finish.
