A spicy, characterful, cool-climate syrah from Sam Lambson of Minimalist at a frankly unbeatable price. Essentially the 'off-cuts' from Stars in the Dark, Sam has bottled the tanks that didn't make it into the final blend of his Cape Agulhas syrah as a Society exclusive for members. This is not as edgy as its big brother (which benefits from cellaring), but is gorgeously approachable now with gentle tannins, lovely bramble fruit, white pepper spice, and a subtle salinity - making it perfect for earlier drinking. Excitingly, 2025 is Sam's first vintage in his own winery in Gardens, Cape Town.
