Moulin-à-Vent La Vigne de Mon Père, Elisa Guérin 2024

Red Wine from France - Beaujolais
4.000000000 star rating 1 Reviews
Elisa, fourth generation and daughter of Philippe Guerin, is now at the helm of Famille Guerin, whose small vineyard holdings include some of the most coveted terroirs in Moulin-à-Vent. Since she started making wine alongside her father in 2018, she’s been turning heads with a fresh vision and thoughtful approach to producing fine Beaujolais. Philippe retired in 2025 (though will still be seen working in the vineyards) and so Elisa is the future of this wonderful family domaine. La Vigne de Mon Père comes from four predominantly north-facing parcels, on loam and granite soils flecked with limestone. Elisa places biodiversity and soil health at the heart of her farming and embraces a hands-off philosophy in the cellar. Unfined, unfiltered and with only minimal SO₂, this is a pure and unadorned expression of Burgundian-style gamay made with whole bunches. The 2024 vintage is beautifully expressive, spicy and fragrant with crushed raspberries, rosehip and white pepper. The palate is tangy with cranberry and pink grapefruit zest and has whisper-fine tannins and a racy-fresh finish.

Spring is the perfect time to drink Beaujolais. This joyful lighter red wine, made from the gamay grape, can be lightly chilled in warmer days. This is an earthier style with dusky violets and rosehips on the nose. Expressive, intriguing and a little bit racy.
