White Wine from Portugal - Dao
Fresh, precise and surprisingly complex at the price, Rótulo Branco shows aromas of citrus peel, white flowers and delicate stone fruit, with a subtle herbal lift. The palate is crisp and finely textured, balancing lemon and green apple with a gentle creaminess from lees ageing. A clear mineral thread runs through the wine, bringing tension and focus before a long, clean finish. Produced by the historic Niepoort family, today in transition between Dirk Niepoort and his son Daniel, this wine reflects their commitment to Portugal’s native grape varieties and traditional vineyard sites. Drawn from granitic Dão vineyards planted at altitude, it is a field blend including encruzado, bical and other native varieties.
