Riesling Altenberg de Bergbieten Grand Cru, Domaine Loew 2023
Domaine Loew was only set up in 1996 by Etienne Loew and the estate remains small at just over six hectares. From Muschelkalk (limestone) soils, this Grand Cru vineyard site is on a southerly exposition from vines of more than 30 years of age. Yields are small with only around 2,000 bottles are produced. This is a great wine that manages to apply depth and intensity along with precision and salinity with yellow fruit, tangerine and apricot flavours.
