Johannes Selbach along with his wife Barbara and son Sebastian have created one of the Mosel's most commercially successful estates. They have vineyard holdings in some of the best villages along the Mosel river and produce ageworthy wines at very good value. Johannes wanted to make thus style of wine more affordable to drinkers, and decided to declassify fruit from top sites to go into a blend. This Beerenauslese is a blend of single-vineyard plots from around Zeltingen, Graach and Bernkastel. Utterly delicious with ripe stone fruits and spice, with a nervy and zesty acidity that balances perfectly with the sweetness.
