Southern French Rose Case
Wines included
The Society's Southern French Rosé, Pays d'Oc 2025
A dry, well-rounded pink from the Languedoc, made principally from petit verdot and syrah. The two varieties work very well together with petit verdot giving the wine its structure. Appetising and refreshing, this is the perfect summer sipper with or without food. This is a wine that will sweep you away to the French Riviera, and while we'd all love to enjoy the journey on the sun-drenched sailing boat of the label, it's a great wine to enjoy anywhere, anytime.
The Society's Corsican Rosé 2025
The island of Corsica produces excellent-quality dry rosé. The native sciaccarellu and niellucciu grapes dominate this year's blend with a dash of cinsault. This is a dry, fruity, refreshing pink that can be enjoyed on its own or with food.
The Society's Exhibition Côtes de Provence Rosé 2025
Provence is the spiritual home of rosé and a style that has been perfected over millennia. The combination of red-fruit flavours, roundness and tingling freshness is irresistible. Château de Mesclances an ancient estate at the heart of Provence, just behind the ports of Hyères and Toulon that benefits from cooling sea breezes. Over the years, owners Arnaud and Elizabeth de Villeneuve Bargemon have modernised the cellars in order to take full advantage of the magnificent terroir. The blend is roughly half-and-half cinsault and grenache with a touch of syrah. Nicely rounded with good fruit and a lingering finish, and perfect with or without food.
Le Bosc Pinot Noir Rosé, Pays d'Oc 2025
A wonderfully fresh pink made from pinot noir grown close to the seaside town of Agde on volcanic soils. This reveals appealing notes of redcurrants, and makes the perfect aperitif come rain or, hopefully, shine and it goes surprisingly well with spicy food. Try it with spicily marinated chicken, pork or chops. We’re delighted to offer this wine with a £1 exploration discount per bottle until Friday 22nd May 2026.
Domaine Les Mesclances Charmes, IGP Méditerranée Rosé 2025
A delightful Provençal blend of cinsault, grenache and a little of the local tibouren grape. Bone-dry, crisp, clean, almost flinty with hints of cherry and redcurrant, this is delicious and refreshing. It's a joy to drink with a seafood or Niçoise salads or grilled mackerel and sardines this summer..
Minervois Rosé, Château Sainte Eulalie 2025
Made from roughly equal thirds of syrah, grenache and cinsault with a spoonful of mourvèdre, this is a bright pink rosé, full-flavoured, dry and fruity. Made with food in mind, serve it with grilled meats, fish or a medley of Mediterranean vegetables.
