The Society's Exhibition Faugères 2023
Red Wine from France - Languedoc
For our first Exhibition red from the Languedoc we chose a Faugères from one of the region's top domaines, Bardi-d'Alquier. From the excellent 2023 vintage, the blend is mostly syrah, with grenache and mourvèdre in support. Aged for a year in oak before being bottled, this is a generous and beautifully balanced red revealing notes of red fruit, black tea and dried herbs.
