Wild raspberry, cassis, fresh rose petal and orange peel aromas rise from the glass, underpinned by notes of crushed rock, shiitake mushroom and fine cigar box complexity. The palate is both generous and beautifully composed, combining layers of blackcurrant, plum and red berry fruit with savoury nuance, freshness and remarkable precision. Fine, seamlessly integrated tannins provide structure without weight, carrying the wine to a long, detailed finish.

Vasse Felix
The earliest pioneer of Margaret River winemaking, Vasse Felix was established in 1967, founded by a doctor, Tom Cullity, who searched relentlessly in the area for just the right place to plant his vines. He found it a Wilyabrup and planted eight acres that remain the heart of the Vasse Felix estate to this day. In 1987 it was purchased by the Holmes à Court family, and they have expanded the vineyard area while maintaining the commitment to quality that was always in place. After all, Tom Cullity's vision was a good one –“to make the best possible wine.”
