2026 - 2026

Château Camarsan, Bordeaux 2023

Our Wine Champions tasters voted this a winner in 2026. ‘Such a crowd-pleaser’, this cracking-value claret really hit the spot. With deep purple colour and generous plum and chocolate, it’s a ‘friendly, classic claret with some guts to it.’ Another taster noted its ‘great depth – it’s something that I think everyone’s going to enjoy.’

France £8.75 per bottle
2025 - 2026

The Society's Spanish Monastrell Jumilla 2024

One of our 2026 Wine Champions, this gem from the sunsoaked south of Spain was on showstopping form. ‘Whatever it is, I’m putting it on my shopping list,’ said one taster before its identity was revealed. ‘It’s peppery, intense, fresh and genuine. Absolutely delicious.’

Spain £7.95 per bottle
2025 - 2027

Familie Mantler Gemischter Satz, Niederösterreich 2025

We know what you drank last summer… and it’s back! And it's a 2026 Wine Champion to boot. The new vintage of this barnstormingly popular, delicately spritzy Austrian white has won our buyers' blind tasting yet again. With its ‘refreshing, sparky acidity’, ‘exuberant, vibrant fruit’ and low alcohol, it’s an absolute peach of a wine.

Austria £8.95 per bottle
2025 - 2027

The Society's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2024

A 2026 Wine Champion, this cherry-laden Italian favourite is now made for us by Contesa, whose above-and-beyond efforts in sustainability have earned them a place in our new Society’s Pioneers range. ‘Pure charm’ was the verdict here – if you haven’t tried it since it switched to its new source, we think you’ll like it! One of our Wine Society Pioneers, Contesa is rated in the top 100 most sustainable companies by their local government agency. They use pheromones to confuse local vine moths when they're mating as an alternative to chemical pest control, encourage wildflowers and grasses to attract pollinators and built a solar power plant on their winery roof which currently generates 50kW and covers 60% of their energy needs, and plan to build another 30kW of panels that will bring this up to 80%. Furthermore, Contesa use bottles produced entirely within Italy and of at least 58% recycled glass to reduce their carbon footprint.

Italy £8.95 per bottle
2025 - 2027

The Society's Australian Shiraz 2023

‘Real shiraz character’ from this ‘classic, fragrant and friendly’ expression, made for us by the excellent Bleasdale. A returning winner in our 2026 Wine Champions blind tastings, this earned high scores for its ‘easy-drinking character with soft tannins and a hint of pepper.’

Australia £9.50 per bottle
2025 - 2028

The Society's Chilean Limarí Chardonnay 2024

If you only try one chardonnay from 2026’s abundant crop of Wine Champs winners, this bowled us over for its quality-price ratio. Its ‘limey nose’, ‘lovely herby style’ and ‘round, creamy’ palate were even better on retasting, so don’t be afraid to decant it.

Chile £8.95 per bottle
2025 - 2029

Rosé Duo des Plages, Pays d'Oc 2025

This perennially popular pink put shone yet again in this year's Wine Champions tasting for being ‘easy-going but with character.’ Pale orangey-pink in colour (‘the French call it ‘partridge eye’’, apparently!), it has ‘gorgeous pink grapefruit’ on the nose and palate, with excellent, zippy freshness. Thanks to the generous support of the supplier we are delighted to offer this wine with a £12 per dozen saving until 11.59pm on Monday 3rd August.

France £8.25 per bottle
2026 - 2026

Cantoiseau Blanc, Vin de France 2025

‘Like biting into a Granny Smith apple’, this southern French zinger jumped out at our Wine Champions tasters with its ‘sherbetty acidity, freshness and crunch.’ One noted that ‘people who like sauvignon blanc are going to love this.’ And what a great price, too.

France £7.25 per bottle
2026 - 2027

Palladium Garganega, Veneto 2025

A ‘peachy, characterful and lively’ expression of the grape behind Soave, garganega, so good it's been voted a 2026 Wine Champion. ‘Fragrant and with more concentration than its price suggests’, it has delicate sage, pear and citrus aromas that continue on the light, dry palate. Get that fridge door ready!

Italy £8.75 per bottle
2026 - 2027

Passerina Abruzzo, Contesa 2025

One of several superb Italian whites that sailed to Wine Champions victory in 2026, this is made from Abruzzo’s unusual passerina grape. ‘Subtly herbaceous and citrusy’, it’s ‘vibrant with stony minerality’, has ‘weight of fruit but without heaviness’ and ‘tastes more expensive than it is.’ Well worth a try.

Italy £9.95 per bottle
2025 - 2027

The Society's Portuguese Red, Península de Setúbal 2025

In the Mediterranean reds round of our 2026 Wine Champions tasting, where ‘the standard and the pleasure factor were so high’, our beloved Portuguese red shone like a beacon. Hailed for its ‘immediate, juicy generosity’, it’s truly a house red of Champions!

Portugal £7.50 per bottle
2026 - 2028

Saint-Chinian, Réserve de Raynier 2025

‘Pencil shavings, pomegrante, pepper, pot-pourri… all the Ps, actually!’ This southern French grenache-syrah blend is certainly popular, and perennially prevailing, reaching our Wine Championship podium for the second year in a row. ‘Vibrant’ and ‘savoury with lovely black fruit’, it’s also offered at a pleasing price!
