From the outstanding 2019 vintage this is a xinomavro of great intensity, both in its cherry, redcurrant, black tea and tomato aromatics as well as its sappy tannins and bright acidity. Now with significant time in bottle this is starting to soften and is the perfect accompaniment to pork or lamb dishes. Markovitis' vineyards are located in Pola Nera in the north of this Greek region, where some of the firmest and most ageworthy Naoussa is found.
